“Jamaican Association of Australia endorses Power Cuts’ ‘Festival Jamaica’”
The Jamaican Association of Australia (JAA) is proudly supporting the upcoming Festival Jamaica, to be held on Easter Saturday, March 26th, at Addison Road Community Centre, in Marrickville. The event is being held by the perennial Power Cuts Promotions team who have been delivering Jamaican related events in New South Wales for more than 20 years.
The JAA, the official association of Jamaicans living in Australia, is supporting the event as it fits in directly with the association’s mission to strengthen, support and promote the Jamaican cultural heritage in Australia. This will be the first of what promises to be an eventful year for the JAA. The Association will be setting up a stall at the event that will offer membership applications and renewals, sales of various Jamaican snacks as well as promoting Jamaican owned businesses from across Australia. The Association’s presence at this event will help to increase its visibility and profile within the wider community.
The Festival Jamaica gets underway on Saturday 26th March at Addison Road Community Centre, 142 Addison Road, Marrickville, and promises to be a day of authentic Jamaican entertainment provided by those with strong connections to our growing but vocal community. You can sample Jamaican culinary delights and catch a vibe that will give you an insight into how Jamaicans can party!!!! The President and the team are looking forward to meeting those attending the event and is encouraging one and all to be at this event.
