Hurricane Melissa : Update No 3

Hurricane Melissa : Update No 3

The Jamaican Association of Australia (JAA), working in lockstep with our Jamaican and Caribbean diaspora partners across the country, is coordinating relief efforts to support Jamaica’s post-Hurricane Melissa Recovery. We’re taking a moment to thank the dedicated individuals, businesses, and grassroots groups who are putting their heart and soul into raising funds and delivering aid for this crucial mission.

🤝 Core Strategic Partnership: Addressing Urgent Security Needs

As heartbreaking reports filter through from Jamaica detailing how criminal elements are exploiting the widespread power outages, the JAA is pivoting fast to deliver urgent support especially lighting and safety gear to vulnerable families and critical facilities on the ground.

This push for lighting and power sources is a tangible way to help; it’s something people can truly get behind and see their donation deliver immediate, concrete safety on the ground.
